These Terms of Service (“Terms”) constitute a binding legal agreement between Colby Maier Media LLC, d/b/a Academy of the Bible (“AOB,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) and any individual who accesses, purchases, or uses AOB’s websites, courses, memberships, products, communities, or services (“User,” “Participant,” or “you”).

By accessing or using AOB Services, you agree to these Terms in full.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Services.

1. WHO WE ARE

These Terms apply to all AOB Services unless otherwise stated.

2. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By using the Services, you acknowledge and agree that:

You have read and understood these Terms.
You are legally capable of entering this Agreement.
You agree to comply with these Terms and all referenced policies.
These Terms apply to all purchases regardless of where the transaction occurs (website, Stripe checkout, Mighty Networks, webinars, etc.).

3. SERVICES COVERED

"Services" include, without limitation:

AcademyOfTheBible.org and all subdomains
Mighty Networks communities and membership portals
Digital courses, modules, workbooks, and study materials
Online events, livestreams, webinars, and workshops
Bible Lands Experience and related trip programming
AI-based or automated tools provided by AOB
Stripe-hosted checkout pages or purchase flows

Accessing or purchasing any Service binds you to these Terms.

4. MODIFICATIONS TO TERMS

AOB may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

5. ELIGIBILITY

You must be 18 years or older to purchase or use AOB Services.

By using the Services, you represent that you meet this requirement.

6. ACCOUNT CREATION AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Mighty Networks)

User accounts are created and managed through Mighty Networks.

By creating an account, you agree to:

Provide accurate and updated information.
Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials.
Not share, transfer, sell, or sublicense access.
Be responsible for all activity under your account.
Comply with both AOB's Terms and Mighty Networks' Terms and Acceptable Use Policy.

AOB is not responsible for:

Mighty Networks outages or service failures
Data loss, account issues, or platform-wide incidents
Account security breaches caused by User conduct

AOB may suspend or terminate your access at any time for violation of these Terms.

7. PAYMENT TERMS

By purchasing, you authorize AOB (and our processors, including Stripe) to charge your payment method for all fees.

All prices may change at any time.
All payments must be completed as agreed.
Access may be removed for failed or disputed payments.

Payment disputes must be handled directly with AOB before initiating bank action.

8. SUBSCRIPTIONS & MEMBERSHIPS

If you enroll in an AOB membership plan:

Charges recur automatically until cancelled.
Users may cancel at any time inside Mighty Networks.
Cancellation prevents future billing but does not issue refunds for past charges.
A 7-day refund guarantee applies only to the initial purchase.
No refunds are issued for subsequent billing cycles unless required by law.

9. DIGITAL PRODUCTS, COURSES & DOWNLOADS

Digital purchases (courses, PDFs, files, videos, academic materials) are:

Non-returnable once accessed or downloaded.
Eligible for a 7-day refund window on first purchase only.
Refundable after 7 days solely at AOB's discretion.

You may not:

Redistribute, share, repost, publish, or upload AOB materials anywhere.
Use AOB content to teach, build courses, or run programs.
Sell or sublicense any AOB material.

All content is licensed for personal use only.

10. PROHIBITION ON AI TRAINING, REPLICATION, OR DERIVATIVE WORKS

You may not:

Upload AOB content into any AI model.
Train or fine-tune an AI model using AOB materials.
Use AI to replicate AOB content, likeness, frameworks, or curriculum.
Use AOB's content to create derivative works.

Violations may result in:

Immediate account termination
Legal action
Civil damages and attorney's fees

11. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

All AOB content—including curriculum, videos, scripts, frameworks, graphics, branding, and logos—is the exclusive property of Colby Maier Media LLC.

You receive a limited, revocable, non-transferable, personal-use license.

You may not:

Reproduce, sell, modify, or distribute content
Display content publicly or commercially
Create derivative works
Use content for church classes, coaching programs, or ministries without written permission

Violations may result in legal enforcement.

12. CHARGEBACK POLICY

Chargebacks are strictly prohibited.

If you initiate a chargeback:

Access will be suspended immediately.
AOB may contest the dispute.
You may be liable for recovery fees, administrative costs, and legal expenses.

Purchasing from AOB constitutes agreement to follow our refund procedures.

13. BANNED MEMBER POLICY (STRICT, NON-REFUNDABLE)

If AOB removes or bans a User for:

Violating community standards
Harassment, disruption, or unsafe conduct
Repeated policy violations
Attempting to redistribute content
Abusive behavior toward staff or members

Then:

No refunds will be issued for the original payment.
If the User attempts to rejoin under another name, alias, email, or account, AOB may terminate the new account immediately.
AOB is under no obligation to refund or reimburse any payments made after the ban.

This clause prevents abusive re-entry and protects community safety.

14. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES (INCLUDING MIGHTY NETWORKS)

AOB may integrate with third-party platforms, including:

Mighty Networks
Stripe
Zoom
Email providers
Zapier
Analytics tools
Webinar platforms

These providers operate independently. AOB is not liable for:

Outages
Data breaches
Processing errors
Platform malfunctions

User data on those platforms is subject to their respective privacy policies.

15. DISCLAIMERS

AOB provides educational and theological content. We do not guarantee:

Spiritual outcomes
Personal transformation
Financial results
Course completion results
Accuracy of interpretations outside AOB's context

All content is provided “as is.”

16. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by law, AOB is not liable for:

Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
Loss of profits, data, goodwill, or reputation
Third-party service failures
Personal injury or property damage related to program participation

AOB’s maximum liability is limited to the amount paid by the User in the preceding 12 months.

17. INDEMNIFICATION

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Colby Maier Media LLC, d/b/a Academy of the Bible from all claims arising from:

Your use of the Services
Your breach of these Terms
Misuse of AOB content
Violations of law
Conduct inside the Mighty Networks community

18. BIBLE LANDS EXPERIENCE (ADDENDUM)

Participation in the Bible Lands Experience is governed by the:

Bible Lands Experience Terms Addendum

This Addendum includes:

Risk assumption
Liability release
Operator separation
Refund schedule
Conduct expectations

By enrolling, you agree to the Addendum in full.

19. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed exclusively by the laws of the State of Wyoming.

All disputes shall be resolved in courts located in Wyoming.

20. ENTIRE AGREEMENT

These Terms, together with:

The Refund & Cancellation Policy
The Privacy Policy
The Bible Lands Experience Terms Addendum

constitute the entire agreement between you and AOB.
